Technical

Setup for Hosted Environment

LibXol Server

This server hosts LibXol library management system including programs, settings and database.

LibXol Online

This server provides web services for LibXol OPAC and member information.

LibXol Client

A Microsoft workstation to manage and operate LibXol either in a LAN environment or over the internet.

LibXol Access

LibXol can be accessed from any compatible platform or device using a web browser.

In most cases, LibXol server and the LibXol Online services are run on the same server machine. Some clients require LibXol Server to be inaccessible from an external network. In that case, LibXol Server and LibXol Online can be installed on two machines on separate subnets.

Minimum Server Requirements

  • Windows Server 2012 R2
  • IIS 7.5 or newer
  • Hard Disk 1 TB or more
  • RAM 8 GB or more


Client System Requirements

LibXol Online can be accessed from any machine or device running web client with an Internet connection. Latest versions of any of the following browsers may be used:
